Testing Results
Grade 1 - 5 students are annually administered the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) in the following subjects: Reading Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Math Problem Solving, Math Procedures, Language, Spelling, Environment, and Listening.
For the 2018-2019 academic year, our students did very well: 84% of our 1st – 5th Grade students scored above the national average, with 40% of our students scoring in the top 20 percentile.
Several New Horizon School - Los Angeles students several of our 2nd grade students chose to take the Otis-Lennon School Abilities Test (OLSAT), a challenging exam used by the Los Angeles Unified School District to identify gifted and talented students. Four of our students were assessed to be gifted and talented.

During the 2019-2020 academic year, the school is transitioning to the Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP) 5 for our 1st – 5th Grade standardized testing.
